I understand that selling the M3 will clear debts etc, but in all honesty I can't see a LET/XE Nova being much cheaper to insure than the £90/month you mentioned. Could be wrong though

If you get rid of your M3 you cant say you are powersliding your own car round the Forza tracks

I dont know what you should do tbh, having never driven a rear wheel drive car on the road I wouldnt know the difference

I bought a nova about 2 years ago for a runaround, it was a mint k-plate Sri.

Bearing in mind it I had owned 6 Novas in the past (SR/GTE/GSi etc).

It was a good fun in a way but I was glad when I could get back in a more sensible car. The nova was great but its not going to be as cheap as you think tbh, to keep one in tip top condition you need to be keeping on top of rust all the time, plus MOT's etc.

Good fun car but there is no way I would swap an M3 for one.

I downgraded from an S3 to a 106 GTi in the summer (similar situation you would be in), it was great at first being back in a little hot hatch but it soon wears off !

I can see where your coming from Mike - dunno if a Nova is the answer though.

I'd be looking at maybe a Pug 206 GTi, maybe even another Astra coupe, A3?

Good cars, a bit of comfort, luxury and performance and modern(ish) and won't break the bank like a M3 does

i love nova's but i hate the dash so if i were going to have one i would have to put the corsa b dash in it and make it into something to forget the m3

like put a let init and calibra leathers then you have abit of comfort and abit of speed its a win win then

No amount of Calibra leather will ever make a Nova as comfortable as a M3

Selling M3 to clear debts? = Yes.
Replaicng with a 25year old rust bucket? = No

I love Novas but its not practical from any viewpoint.

If you sell the M3 get something sensible. But i wouldnt sell your M3, the money you paid and the spec/condition its too good to give away, most are dogs/abused nowadays

The wheel of choice apparently, the new speedlines. Personally I think they arent that nice, far to common now.

As said I have always loved the Nova, just like a Beatle/Mini enthusiast, i want something thats cheap to buy, cheap to mod, cheap to run and never breaks down!
also in the near future i would like something that i could give an engine transplant etc.

TBH I wouldnt want to downgrade to a corsa/nova!!

I would keep with the BMW marque, maybe find a very nice and clean 318is to keep your running costs down but still have a nice car full of options
