Things can change in a year? Otherwise the MOT would be every 10 years or something?

That's what I thought, hence different things fail each other.

Does seem a bit silly however, especially the price.

isnt the rule now that if it fails its mot, it instantly voids any mot that you may have left on it?

Nope not true, aslong as your current one is still in date you have time to rectify it, hence you can take it a month earlier I think it is

Jeebus!

Wonder if it was a a dried line of dirty water that he thought was a crack on the spring?

Go to Mr Clutch, its £25 for an MOT (if you print the online voucher off).

ah right, i thought the rule had changed, so that even if it did have a month on it and it failed, it would be down on the system as un-roadworthy.

i bet the headlight is fine, they just have some little 16 year old fucktard trying to align it, they dont just go out of line, maybe the bulb is in wrong?

as you said the springs are fine, and i gather the wheels dont catch on the arches etc?

Alot of tester fail cars out of spite, for whatever reasons. just take it somewhere else mate

Course they can, yes the price is excessive but you took it to Vauxhall. They are on £80 an hour labour or something ridiculous.

If things can't change in a year then you should write to the government and tell them a yearly MOT is pointless.

My mates Uber mint XR3i does litteraly 100 miles a year, and each year it fails on something, becuase the MOT testers are badgers, last year it failed on a perrished window wiper blade, simply becuase it has never seen any water

Just to point out things can and do change in a year!
