Iniesta and Xavi were awesome last night, completely agree with Hammer i could watch that all day, at the very least it shows where england should be aiming, Spain were very very good.

We should/could of still scored a couple though, so got some threat even with 30% possession, which was a good sign.

Cole was unlucky, not too much more he could of done with his chance.

Also, it was only a friendly, but I thought the referee-ing was really poor, then i heard he was French. which kinda explained it.

That referee was a joke. He let loads of niggly stuff go, then for no reason he started blowing up against us.

Still, no disgrace losing to the best team in the World.

we did look abit flat last night IMO i dont know what Downing contributes to Middlesboro let alone the National team - fcuking w&nk! other than that no disgrace getting beat by Spain, we would have been better had roons/theo/gerrard played

You could see the difference though, Spain were a threat, iniesta and xavi play and passing linking up with the strikers always a danger. We had big Heskey but nobody to pick up the pieces off him.

Crouch was absolute dog wank as per. Glen Johnson looked like he has potential, but then he kept doing the same thing and cutting back.
As said though, take some of the crap out like Downing and replace with people like Joe Cole,Rooney, Gerrard, theo (if he can fullfill his potential) and on their day each can be World beaters.

Maybe if they were the media whores that Beckham is they might have managed to get to 108 caps.

Beckhams alright as a player, but when folk compare his caps record to Bobby Moores it angers me. Bobby Moore is far, far more deserving of the 108 caps than David Beckham by a long way.

Yes Marc, yes they do.

Love it how fans of "big teams" always resort to these kind of insults, be-little other people opinions just becuase they support a lower league team Brilliant

No, i disagree with you there, a mate of mine supports huddersfield so i take an interest in how they do

I agree he hasn't done as much as Bobby Moore, infact nowhere near as much, but he does deserve his caps, he scored that free-kick which led to england qualifying

What you say is true about you also though, you have a strong opinion against the big teams because in your opinion they are no more deserving of all the money they get than your club, but imo they are, Manchester United for example have built themselves up, just like Huddersfield have/are doing, but united have been far more successful at it than Town

Sorry, i'm just in a bit of a bad mood tonight

I dont disagree that he does deserve some of the caps that he has gained, but when you consider that whilst gaining these 108 caps, he has only actually played 90 mins 58 times it's not all that great. He's never delievered when it matters (apart from the free kick) and has always been a let down in World Cups & the Euro's.

I dont really hate the big teams as such. I just hate what they stand for, and how far away they are from what Football should be about. I used to admire Man United back in the mid 90's when they used all the kids coming through the youth team to win all them trophies. However, since Sky TV came in and handed out a shed load of cash clubs have changed. They dont give a shit about anyone as long as they are at the top. Thats what I hate. All they are interested is the money, they along with the media have drawn kids away from supporting the local clubs which hinders any progress they try to make. Every saturday I see loads of folk jump on a train and go over the Manchester, these people should be going down the road to watch Huddersfield.

Clubs like us have it 10 times as hard to make it big these days than we used to becuase nobody gives a shit about us. No matter what we do, or how hard we try, unless we make into the Premier League hardly anybody knows we exist.
