Nice car at your age but sorry they are really under-powered.

Fiesta RS turbo
R5 turbo
Starlet turbo
Fiat coupe 20VT
106 GTi
306 GTi 6
205 Mi16
Saxo VTS
Corsa V6/XE
Vectra GSi/MSD
Civic VTi
Colt Mirage Cyborg
Nissan 180 SX

Theres loads of cars out there, Dont be a mileage whore as most cars over 15 y/o still on the road have been well looked after and will still outlive some of todays new cars. Also newer cars now are all built well enough to last 200k without too much trouble.

Any car for £2000 isnt going to be mint and will need some work on it of some description, so its best to look past the cars flaws at the potential that lies beneath.

Id say a VTS. BTW, your white GSi rep is in hull now, it was parked a few cars away from me in the cinema last night. Looks pretty tidy.

Thats probably the most unreliable list of cars you could have thought of..

I'd go for the Zetec S, there going for well under 2k and with little effort look good.

Out of all of those cars the R5 is the only one id call unreliable. The fiesta RST and 20vt are maintenence intensive but far from unreliable and the rest are as reliable as most other public sector cars on offer today. some of the higher mileage cars might want some key mechanical parts replacing such as cambelt/waterpump/oil pump but again are no less reliable than a fiesta zetec s that you seem to love.

Agreed even the 2.0 mk4 gti is on par with a 1.6 sport

I'd go with Zetec-s, very nice looking and capable cars imo.

overall i think for your money the zetec s is the best (ie air conditioning, traction control, electric windows etc)

i do like the lupos but would come with only electric windows if im lucky and will be a 1.0, and very small..

also if i buy a lupo/polo/golf it will look standard/not very sporty

but with a zetec s they look sporty straight out the box etc

seems im liking the zetec s more at the moment but still looking at a few things..
