Surely fast and fuel consumption just cant go together Steve
How about something like this and then spend the change on 1.5million penny sweets?

would have to see cos they are slightly over budget but are worth breaking the budget for
as for EVOs.. i would. but insurance and services/general running costs for a daily car are too much
drive te 3l. you dont need anything else for 99% ocassions, it really is amazing

Im with JR on the A5 here. I love the shape, and with the 3.0 tdi units, its got plenty of umph. Great motorway mile eater.
VX8 is a beast, but a very long car and so un-economical its silly....
As said fast + economical = Muchos cash to buy.
Steve, fyi, theres a chap on the biek site I use who managed to talk a BMW dealer down from £30k for a 3 series, leather interior etc, down to £22k, BRAND NEW.... He was even considering going back to knock him down to £20k..
Brand new deals, they will fight, but all dealers are loosing out and the gains to be had on brand new cars are simply shocking.
I would say Veccy VXR, but won't be economical.
I'd also look at 2nd hand 335 BMW's. OK they are common, look a little pplain, but the engine in that car is so worth it. 400lb ft and 300+bhp on a remap and still 40-50mpg Great engines.

The Current Insignia uses the 2.8L Turbo with 4x4 (40F/60R) which isnt too shy so the VXR best go crazy with the boost or add a 2nd Turbo lol

i still can get over the sheer speed of the W12.. seriously, no noise, no sence of acceleration, yet it pulled to like 145 with no effort very very quickly.. insane
