Most dual masses are expensive - Only because the thrust bearing is a hydraulic unit, And its recommened to change the same time as clutch kit

Thrust bearing usually comes as part of a clutch though, dual mass flywheel is a separate thing altogether.
If you are that worried, don't remap and don't use it. Otherwise just see how it goes, sometimes things fail early sometimes they last forever.
