I'm into little sentimental gifts to be honest. I enjoy finding wee things just for the sake of it. When I can afford it, I may do all out extravegant!

The ex i spent about £2000 on (took her away, bought her an ipod, stereo, stuff for uni etc etc etc)

This gf wont be getting anything like that, but still a few hundred

Depends, I try to get something meaningful, the price is less of an issue. I'd rather spend more on one present than buy a load of stuff she doesn't need.

Applies to anyone I buy gifts for to be honest.

19th birthday: took her to york so about 250ish (not including myself) and a pair of shoes which was another £60ish

christmas was bag which was about £180 and dvd which was another £100

and her 20th next week im taking her to versailles so thats abour £400 (for both of us + what ever we spend over there) and imagine a new pair of shoes

all worth it though

depends which birthday really.

spent about £500 for her 18th but only spent about £50 for her 19th at the weekend

Just whatever she needs/wants but without going over the top. Much prefer to keep the B.day/xmas spend sensible & blow it on a nice holiday we can both enjoy.

I spent a fortune on her 21st last year as I took her to Florida but normally anywhere from £100-£250 really depends on how much spare cash I have at the time.

If I was skint I would get her something then treat her to something month after!

hell soemtimes i dont even get her a card

shes not a materialistic girl so just gets to go out after her birthday shes happy spending 50 quid in primark
