The Olde England Hotel overlooking Windermere is lovely. We're going in May.

And if you're into things a bit more boutiquey then both Howbeck and The Windermere Suites are amazing!

What do you lot do up here?

I like living here dont get me wrong, doubt I'll ever move and the beautiful scenery is worth coming for on its own but unless you are into mountain biking, walking etc. theres no more to do than anywhere else in the country!

TBH I tend to just have a look around the shops/walk a bit in the morning, then sit in the pubs the rest of the day

I like the laid back afternons, pissing about sitting on nboats in the sun, ice cream from the wee shop when you get off the boat, mingling with freaky locals/tourists/pensioners. I like all the wee country pubs. Went to some resturant called the priests hole or something like that & had a good feed, then drive home & get sloshed in my wee wooden house.

Honestly for a couple nights life couldnt be any more perfect!!
