Aye, he was (is?) a regular on the after dinner/motivational speaking circuit a few years back. Doubt he does it that often anymore now he has this show.

i enjoy the show, i like les stroud better tbh (survivorman series) he actually just goes out by himself no crew and lugs about 50 pounds of camera gear with him, good man.

Yeah, in the ones i've seen on discovery recently he twatted a snake on the head with a stick, and killed a croc. Was in Louisiana post hurricane.

Love his show, the missus doesn't like the eating of animals though.

He did pick an apple out of some bear crap the other day as well, didn't look like it tasted too good.

And i think he does have to kill the animals really, he's trying to show how to survive in the wild, so has to do everything properly i guess.
