Don't bother with a 1.6, just to straight to 20XE.

I wouldn't bother with the uprated shafts and hubs, just use your current hubs with GSi shafts, i've known a good few people run them and never known one snap.

Will i still need to replace the wheel bearings when fitting the gsi shafts?

Can you buy modified gear linkages?

And will i need to upgrade my 1.2 8v fuel pump?

No you can use standard bearings with the gsi shafts,
Ebay usually has modified linkages,
If your car is is multipoint injection then the pump is fine, if its not then you need to change the pump.

if ure going to shed the money out a 1.6 is a waste of time...you wont be paying the usual 1.6/2.0 insurance as its a conversion...so ure pay more than a normal 1.6 corsa :s for something that is not going to perform as good...get a c20xe in it...may be more costly, but defo worth it if you want to kept with the same corsa. If not buy a better car...106 gti/saxo VTS, toyato starlet, clio 172...will cost the same roughly and out perform either a 1.6/2.0 corsa from the box

Bigger bore exhaust system.

2" at the very minimum.Dosnt need to be a calibra manifold, just try get the manifold with the engine.

And if your handy with a welder the shafts can be welded.

Are you going to try get a full running scrap car??
