Slot it in just before you stop moving.

Tried, sometimes the bulb doesn't come on until you let the clutch out too.

Mine does that. It slots into N ok when stopped, but the light will show as your in N, but your not, so you let the clutch out and SLUMP it stalls, and you feel like a chump for stalling... Even though it shows your in N...

In fact, the front forks going soft, and that N light is my biggest gripes with the bike, after 25,000 miles.. Not bad eh for some cheap jap crap (not including the few oil seals leaking, easily sorted).

I've got a bit of a sloppy box, im in 5th by 100, so when your hammering down the roads, I use the gearbox an awful lot. Think the sensors slightly out of allignment. Gonna get some new rubber bushes for the gear selector rod, tighten it all up again.

That's what I have to do, and even though I know I can feel it went into Neutral the light sometimes won't show up until the clutch is fully out. But until the light goes on I can't put the sidestand down cause it'll cut the engine and I'll look a n00b

I had a similar thing on my test. Was about a mile from the test centre, went into some residential streets and there was a tipper dropping off some tarmac for the rooadworks. I stopped in the road to let them manouver the lorry but was waved on by one of the workmen, and not thinking i just went. The examiner was following in a car as her bike had broken down and coulnt get through.

Luckily she (yes, it was a woman) was sound about it all, and apologised to me when we stopped to do the turn in the road and said it was the third time it had happened that day and she should have realised.

Well, went round to Dizzy's to get the speedo fixed for the 3rd time in as many km's :@

On my way to the test centre, the speedo packed in again, so though fuck it ill try and do it anyway using the rev counter as a guide

Must of worked, passed with 1 minor for following a truck too close through town (c-unit wouldnt move up at the lights when I thought he was going to so thought better to stay moving than roll backwards)

Cant quite believe I was so nervous about it. Now im pondering when to put the RS up for sale cos for the asking price of the 125 I can cover most of the cost of buying a used 600, theres loads on ebay, mainly GSXRs for £1500 - £1800

Why not a GSXR? I went to the Suzuki showroom today, got a p/x valuation on my RS of £1000 against a new bike (£7720-£1000 = £6720). 0% finance over 3 years as well just makes it harder to resist

I really want one
