Yo0u need to shop around, but they will take into account past claims, how much the claims have been for etc.

Remember you have to declare accident to a company for 5 year as you do with point and convictions. So until your past the 5 years your gonna have problems with a high performing car like a GT.

I think puntos are shite, thats only my opinion of the ones Ive drove, Sisters got a punto 75, shite to drive, very very slow, interior is shite, electrics have a mind of there own. Also drove a new shape one aswell, looked good - abarth kit, alloys etc but again let down by the drive, interior etc
Sure the GT might be fast but unless that is what your getting then I would stay away!

75 slow?? compared to what though. it's a 1.2 8V so it's not bad having a 12s to 60 time. shite electrics well yes they can have doggy ones but then they don;t have porous heads I had a 75 for 9 months and did a lot of imles in it and nothing ever went wrong. just depends on the car. had the corsa for 18 months and the EGR valve went

I dunno how much they are to buy 2nd hand... but try looking at getting a Punto 85...

Here's the stats

Fiat 85, 1.2 16v, 4/1242 capacity, 86 bhp, 110 mph top speed, 10.9 secs to 60, 42.1 miles to the gallon.

Should feel a lot faster than your old 1.0 12v. Without a whooping insurance cost.
