Just a tosser instead? I've put a fiver in before. I've also put less in before. Reason being that I went to fill it up, and realised I'd forgotten my wallet. I didn't want to risk going all the way and back with what was left so used my spare change to get me there and back safely

Depends on the car. 1 litre of water = 1 kg so if it's a 30 litre tank, then you've got half the weight of the average adult! Quite heavy

i wondered this yesterday and googled it, come back as 1 litre of petrol = 0.72kg and my full tank is 52 litres so it would be 37.44 kg's.

quite a fair bit of weight, it's about half of me.

I went into the shop the other day and bought a 10p mix, giggled like a school kid on the way out, jingling my pocket full of change.

I regulally put less than £5 as I deal with all the courtesey/hire cars at work so they allways have to be full, not embarassing at all, although we do own the petrol station too so it isnt that bad The most I've put in is about £70, into our Luton Van, got bored standing there.

The specific gravity of petrol is 0.72, which means that it weighs 0.72kg per litre...
