TBH I'd just be worried that at the end of it all, the guy would say "Hmmm, I don't think it's me, I'll look elsewhere".

Maybe you imagined her logging on to read it, or the actual event taking place?

Can i offer some advice as i've ben in this EXACT situation.

Get another job first. All the time your in work, then cannot sack you for being unhappy. Thats bordering constructive dismissal in my eyes. Working towards pushing you out of the company.

Clearly they have not even tried to adjust your role slightly to make you a better employee and keep you.

However, I know what it feels like, we had 13 Helpdesk members leave in just over 8 months, despite most of us telling them what was wrong, they just re-employed, people left, re-employed, people left.

They didn't seem to care about the £5k+ agency bill every time.......

If you can, stick it out, get another job lined up first, sick days for interviews etc...

Otherwise, u'll end up like I did and having to work in pubs/shops etc for 6 months until you find another job, which REALLY sucks ass!!!!

Leave the shit job, work for your dad.

If you don't like your dad's job you can look for another job, if not you can stay and you'll be on nearly double what you're on now!

I was in a very similar situation. I wasnt happy at my work, and my boss was basically pressuring me, wringing my neck, trying to get more and more out of me until i caved in and walked out yesterday. I know its silly etc etc but i couldnt do any more.

I now need a new job......

I should count my blessings with the job I have more often

But seriously, if you are getting shit like you are for that money I would leave and do the security job.

Unfortunately my manager wasnt there at the time, but the assistant manager didnt really try and stop me. Me and her got on great and it was from higher up that the pressure was coming from. SHe wished me all thebest and understood my reasons for leaving.

Yeah, slapped on her desk at 8:20 this morning.

She didn't have much to say other than why, well you didn't like being on the help desk and you'll be missed blah blah. Which was said as convincingly as Cosmo saying Liverpool will win the league.

So, I'm number 8 in the great big Aviva clear out. Lass that is currently on holiday says she might not bother going back

TBH the manager is probably happy as you've cut her costs without her having to pay you off

Since she took over our team, 8 people have either left or being sacked!

I'm surprised no one has said something about experienced people leaving and how people don't stay on her team 5 minutes!
