the bloke on the right in the shorts is a friend of mine, he runs fueltopia website and managed to sneak in the logo on the rocker cover, not that many people can see it as is a bit blurred its bright orange though

But yes that advert is a shit load of fuck.

Just like a Golf? What boring? Bland? Slow? Unreliable? Been living off the badge for the past 3 mks of Golf as they have all been shit? Mk6 was so bland I wondered how anyone could get excited about a GTi anymore.

If someone tells me they own a Golf, I'm only interested if it's a decent VR6 or a Mk1 or Mk2 the rest are horseshit.

Come on, they're not shit by any stretch.
A 306 is shit, the golf isn't.

I hate the advert but love my Golf. Way better than my old C and I think nicer inside than a similarly priced Astra.

The list prices are just ridiculous and I can't see why you'd buy a new one, but second hand I thought mine was better than an Astra. Sorry.

Yes but who wants a standard 150bhp lardy arse Golf? In standard form it's useless. Lets not even mention the 115bhp 2.0 8v.

Then the Mk5 was a step in the right direction but it's still miles behind the competition, then the Mk6 if they think that is anywhere near what a GTi is supposed to be about then
