this week must just be a week of morons for me tbh. i had a cracker yesterday too. i was in an office in haydock helping somebody with their computer (she wanted a template making for powerpoint, not really my job as they have a graphics person but whatever) and i could hear 2 other people on the other side of the room talking about operating systems. then out of nowhere the woman i was helping pipes up with "oh yeah, it was office first then it was XP then excel wasn't it?"

I know that feeling except I'm having to deal with a network engineer who's a retard.
Somebody want's port 19 in Derby amended so he came back and advised he needed the switch name as there are 2 switches on that site. When I checked the records though one of the switches has ports 1-24 the other 1-12 so which one is it likely to be

ITIL processes
Plus the customer has now had all the ports locked down so everything has to be amended and recorded with a change

We share an office with a company that does that, and some of their contracts they charge for EVERY little change that needs doing. Its day light robbery.
We charge a single fee fro network support all month, and I typically change a port configure (vlan for example) within 40 seconds of receiving the call from our clients

Watched it on the plane, wasn't too bad I thought. Good effort to start with, need more guns n space wars n stuff though.
Watched Angels n Demons too, I liked that as well.

We don't charge for these types of things but everything has to go through a request.
Some of the stuff we charge for is rediculous, like a 50+ % mark up on laptop batteries plus are annual fee is quite nice
