As with most adaptations the book is a lot better but it's still worth a watch if you haven't read it

im sure i seen this roughly the time it first came out, cant remember much apart from the part he is standing in amonst the washing.

no, more like 4-5. i dont mean when it first came out on video. i remember seeing it in this old video shop thats no longer a video shop and i always used to look at the cover when i was in there.

tommyknockers was another stephen king film that springs to mind. i think thats slightly newer than IT.
