tbh i dont think u really know your engines mate, just rang me mate n askt if i could get a look at his engine as sum people say they dont exist and he ses i cant coz his bonnet cable has just broke but he sez its deffo a redtop 8v xe 165 bhp standard

Mate I know my engines perfectly well, well enough to know that the engine most commonly called a redtop is a 16v engine. Call again and ask what the engine code is.

oh yea the the x20xe ecotec has a straight sparkplug cover. and the redtop has the 90deg. my bad. However that opel one i would imagine is just the opel version of a red top still a c20xe

just rang him bak and he says he is gettin pissed off wid u lot and says if any of u wanna race he will but kant until his bonnet is fixt soon coz its hardly got no oil in and he cant get under there to put more in

The one with the straight cover is the X20XEV, it looks about the same as an X18XE, kind of like how X14XE and X16XE look about the same with the cover taken off.

So wtf does a x20xe look like ?? I have a Z22XE in my omega and it looks the same as the x20xev (execpt mine has no ht leads etc)
However we have all agreeed that an 8v is not a red top.
I dont really care that your mate wants a race in his illegal car (cant open bonnet, cant mot), Just trying to show him the error in his ways.
