Tommytomgun, the idea behind SAD is the lack of light obviously, and not being naturally woken up etc. The light combats that by waking you up naturally, rather than some alarm scaring the shite out of you at 6am!

I have one. The light starts to turn on half an hour before the radio alarm is due to turn on. The radio starts off quietly and gradually builds up to the volume you set to wake you up gradually.
It works as long as you dont hit the button to turn the light off which TBH I normally do once I see it come on

i hate it when you wake up and your arm is numb to the point where you can't even move it, and have to use the good arm to move it into a position to get the blood flowing again i'm always nervous that the feeling won't come back

I must have slept funny the other night when Alex stayed over because my foot was completely numb when i woke up. It's THEE worst feeling when you try to move it and its like a dead weight lol. Had to lean my other foot on it to get rid of the yucky crampy feeling.
