I don't see a problem spending that cos she is going to have it for the rest of her life. Say you are with her for 40 years it's only £32.50 a year.

Don't mean to piss on your parade, but honeymoon period? Everything is always amazing for the first year or so.

I've been going for a lot longer than 9 months, closer to 9 years she's got no chance yet.

£1300 isn't that much for an engagement ring tbh, unlucky for nathy's future husband.

Nah, we all find just having a few rides on your mum is enough and no need to propose to her.

Current

What age were you when you got engaged
28

How long where you with the person for
5 years before getting engaged and been engaged for 1 year (nearly)

How much did you, or would you think is the right amount to spend on a ring?

I gave her a budget to spend and she actually spent less.

EX

What age were you when you got engaged
21 I think

How long where you with the other person for
6 months before we got engaged and was with her for 3 years.

How much did you, or would you think is the right amount to spend on a ring?

£1500 spent
