tbh I have no idea where all my money goes, I have the norm such as mobile, sky, BT and internet, but other than that I dont really have any bills to pay (ins and petrol are paid by the business) but I still end up saving fuck all.

monthly

£414 - car finance
£120 - keep money
£30 - mobile phone
£16 - gap insurance

then the normal stuff :

£50 a week food
£50 a week petrol
£20 a week for other things

and that's about it, don't really spend much. paid my car insurance off in one go so don't need to pay it anymore.

I wonder the same thing every month.

Got about £300 in bills each month, cba to break it down
£500 goes into savings

Then I have no idea where the rest goes, I might have £300 or so a month left but that's about £800 or so a month I don't really know what I spend it on, sometimes more depending on overtime

Although I do spend about £350-400 a month on fuel

It's all the £10, £20, and £30 withdrawals here and there that do it for me. It seems like nothing. Til you realise you've done it more than a dozen times in less than a month, and have fuck all to show for it.

Thats what I found. Used to get my statement through and had no idea what any of the withdrawls were for.

Now what I do is on pay day go down the bank and draw out £400, and use that as my spends for the month and once its gone, it will be gone. Finding I dont but half the shit I used to, and most times I have money left over. When you can see the pile getting smaller it really makes you think about what you are buying and if you really need.

Might not work for you, but certainly worth giving it a go. I'm able to save much more money now than I ever have before.

I would tend to agree, but it seems no matter how you drive the car it uses the same amount of fuel
I do hammer it at weekends alot though I must admit.

The 600 miles a week doesn't help though!

Best way I can save money is by going to work for a fortnight. When Away I can get by on less than a tenner a week!!

Still have usual bills though but I tend to not spend a thing!!

Good son
