well ive had a mental day. the wind was so strong that my van wouldnt get over 50mph half the time. the rest of the time i spent correcting it from being blown over the road. got stuck in a 12 mile tailback on the m6 to find the road i use was closed. to then use a different road that was flooded in 3 places. to then find daft fuckers iin 4x4's scared to drive through puddles. then to make it to kendal to find 2 industrial estates starting to flood, the river about to burst its banks, another estate starting to flood. the main kendal bypass i use closed so then got stuck in kendal town centre traffic.
all in all its been awful day to be a delivery driver.

There's another road that goes in to that village that goes down a hill and doesn't flood. You dont even have to go far out of your way to use it. They are making out that the road thats flooded in the video is the only way to get in and out of Burneside

ive had a cunt of a day. you cant appreciate the problems ive had to endure getting around places.

I packed waders and everything. To then find it was quite easy to get around.
I think everyone had gone home early as it was apparently gridlock at lunchtime. I drove through at about 4 and it was the quietest I've seen it in a long time.

i drove through at about half 3. it took me nearly an hour to get from dockray hall to asda.
edit, oh and 2 hours to get the 50 miles from carlisle to kendal.

It is quite bad in some places in Carlisle especially just outside around all the backroads Etc.
I keep seeing little "Flood" signs everywhere.
