Definetly, I find mine to be slightly quicker than alot of Zetec S's because I give mine a good run every now and again

change gear at around 3k driving normally in 1st and 2nd gear the others about 2-2.5k.
Roasting the car I change at 5800rpm as thats where the RR said peak power was.

It has no rev counter so ill guestimate it at 3k simply as it's too slow to cope at 2/2.5k changes.

Apparently you should change a bit later then you'll be closer to hitting peak power again. Was told that by someone but cannot remember who

Normal day to day driving I only go to 2k or 2.5k i think, the whole 2 miles to and from work it never warms up so no boost.
Couple of times a month I will take it out for a decent drive and think I change just before 6k.

2000rpm normal driving
6750rpm spirited, but 6000rpm lately as starting to see no need in going that extra bit further

rev limit is there for a reason
manufacturers dont run engines 24 hours a day for weeks if not months on end to make sure they will do 100k+ if there worried about someone with a fiesta rev'ing it a bit it much on the way to work
