I screwed at her (i was wasted) we got in car, drove 2 meters was pulled over by unmarked CID who had heard us arguing and thought it was a domestic. They wernt carrying a Breathleasizer as there CID, so called a traffic car. 20mins later traffic car showed up and she blew 0.1 UNDER the limit. I was shocked tbh.

complete and utter rubbish.

I know you were being sarcastic but Id say so to.

If she had as much as he says then she would of been over, so it was either done wrong (the test) or BS.

Well she's not huge......
Someone do a search for my thread.
It happened, i was prepared to walk about 10miles.
This test was aprox 40mins after her last drink. I dont know how she passed but i was shocked when she did.....even said "are you sure" when we was set free

My flame suit is zipped up tight... But as said, each person is different. I blew about twice the limit iirc, and that was after a bottle of Amaretto and a bottle of wine, so a good 30ish units (I was tested about an hourish later.

If I can walk myself to the car and can manage to unlock it, thats me safe to drive imo.

So you went mental at her for driving in that condition and then got in the car with her

When I was a bit younger i'd have 2/3 pints and drive. Wouldn't dream of doing it these days, too much to lose for the sake of a couple of beers and if I hit someone i'd never be able to forgive me sen.

everyone's limit is different, depend's what your body can tolerate and how beefed up you are. If you're fatter or stockier, you can probably take more than a skinny person. My friend drank 3 pints and drove, stupidly i got in the back. We crashed into a tree and a car at the same time. He blew into the breath test and passed.

Thats similar to my point, I could drink a fair amount and still be safely under the limit but I wouldn't even dream of driving.

Threads like this seem to always focus on 'what you can get away with', as opposed to what is sensible

The legal limit has been changed recently, anything over a pint will put the "average" person over the limit.

35mg in breathe
86mg in blood
107mg in urine I think

a pint will put some people over the limit, small glass of wine, one bottle alcopop, double spirit and mixer etc

I wont risk it now, ive lost my licence once and to loose it again wouldnt be worth thinking about!

a couple of years ago though, after being in the pub with some friends for a couple of hourse and having 2 pints of strongbow, a vodka and coke and a guinness i got tugged on the way home and was under the limit. My mate who also got tugged had a pint of stella and got arrested for being over the limit. He asked for a blood test though and by the time he got to the station he was clean so got off lightly.

So it does depend on the person as everyone has different alcohol thresholds. Either way, if you value your licence then take the guess work out and dont touch the stuff.

well im going warehouse project (manchester some might know it) on friday and its a huge event and no doubt near enough averyone will be plastered, including the people im going with.
but im driving there, and driving home, and can safely say i wont be touching a drop! if i harmed anyone in my car or out, i wouldnt be able to forgive myself for a long long time, if ever, so even if its for 'selfish' (in a way) reasons, don't have anything

anybody see that prgramme about drink driving where they got 10 people who admitted drink driving on a regular basis to drink what they would normamly and got them to drive on private land twith an insrtuctor, amazingn what some people had drunk and were under the limit. They then got the presenter to drink 7 double vodkas and coke, he was under the limit but could not see straight nevermind drive.

So many factors that effect it is unreal, from food intake health etc.

I wouldnt risk it.

you don't blow a reading at the side of the road! The side of the road only illustrates if you are clear, middling or over.

Amber/Red lights will then be arrested and taken to the station and it is the monitor at the station which gives the actual reading.

I was breathalised at home, apparently blew a red; was taken to the station where my actual reading was 11mg. The station reading was taken approximately 1hour after the roadside.

I don't see how the girl can have been let off for being 0.1mg under at the roadside, if you had a marginal call, they would take you in for a full assessment anyway

Mate of mine drove home after drinking 8 bottles of lager.

Got stopped (random check) blew under the limit.

He's not a big lad, and not a big drinker.

I have seen them on traffic cops etc give a numerical reading at the roadside. They are then taken for a more accurate test at the station.

Anything under 50 you have the option of a blood test so you'll more than likely get off with it if under 50.
