It was nothing to do with the complexity of the story, it's a subject that's been done to the death, humans destroy everything they touch etc etc etc.

It just wasn't very good, especially for all the hype.

Have you spoken to anybody who didn't see it in 3D, they were unbelievably disappointed.

By far the most visually stunning film I've ever seen though, people talked about 2012 CGI being good, which I disagreed with, this is something else though, 3D definitely added to it, first 3D film I've seen that's been made in 3D and not just to make some stuff come out the screen.

10/10 for cinematography, 5/10 for storyline.
agree with that 100%

[spoiler]

Did no one else cringe when there was a naked female wrapped in plants with a big group of aliens chanting hymns round about her? Seriously what a pile of wank it really was.

Folk applauded it in the cinema we were in, I applauded the fact it was finally done.

It's criminal that this was even released in 2d...

Makes me so mad when I read that people have seen it in 2d... half the reason people are raving about the film is the 3d-ness of it.

I asked my flat mate last night if he had seen it, and he had - but only in 2d... unsurprisingly he didn't think it was worth the hype...

I think everyone has to go see it in 3d! James if you need someone to come with you to see it in 3d, let me know - I wouldn't mind seeing it again in 3d... (knowing that it'll never be the same in 2d / on dvd in the future).

It looked a bit chaotic when I got there, I was 10 mins late so my mate had bought my ticket for me

As most people have said really, the story line wasn't exactly anything that new but the 3D effects were very good and the CGI was seriously amazing.

I've just got back from seeing it at IMAX 3D, and I can quite honestly say its one of the bext cinema experiences I've ever had. Not so much for the 3D, that was good, but for the IMAX. Suprasses The Dark Knight.

fFinally saw it in 3D

I was pleasently suprised with it as they have not gone with what i thought they would. No wank blurry things coming out the screen, just a film that because its 3D its looks Real Its allowed textures to come alive.

Blew me away tbh. The tiny scene of the chopper firing at a Na'vi whilst spiriling down was mind blowing.

Great film. Still like the story.

Also now dont understand why anyone is making 2D films anymore....
