Fair enough if they dont have the strength to change the wheel but theres no excuse for not knowing how. I dont get what goes through these peoples heads, standing there looking at the flat think hmm what to do. Does undo the bolts remove wheel put on spare do up bolts not instantly come to mind.

There are ALOT of people who have never even used a spanner so changing a wheel is a dauhnting task

There have been engines developed that can go to about 80k miles without being serviced. They're totally sealed units.

our 140k 1.9 8v JTD Doblo has been in my dads possesion for 5 years now and the only time its had an oil and filter change was at about 100k when a stone peirced the oil filter and drained it, we only noticed when the oil light came on and the dipstick looked like it had been chromed, drove it 15 miles home, new filter topped it up and off it went

lol, i once stopped to help some stranded girls that had a flat tyre, only problem: They in a ford KA and the spare wheel is not under the boot, it's under the car. Anyway, I was mystified by this, couldn't see a fucking thing as it was pitch black and decided that trying to push the metal bar holding the wheel upwards, that maybe that would release the bar and the wheel, anyway, I had no luck, in the end I said I'm sorry and drove off. lmao, oh...what a cunt I felt and I still don't know how the under-car spare wheels are released today

My sisters like that, just totally not interested in the slightest, she'll buy a car for say £4k & just zip about in it for a number of years until its absolutelly done it & then get nother one.

Current clio she's had for about 5yrs & its never had a service, never been washed, is covered in moss & other marine type morsoles, covered in dents.......she drove it along the wall outside her flat & just shrugged it off. Deary me its a state.......but she doesnt give a hoot!!

OMG lads. Inside the boot there is a small nut. Rotate this and it undoes the cage under the car. Then u can push the cage up and out of the clamp and slide the wheel off.

TBF I havent got a clue how those jacks that come with cars work (where you have to spin it or something to raise it up???), so unless I had my proper trolley jack with me I would be calling out the Yellow or Orange van to help me. Im fine on the drive way though

Should all get on AON.

If you don't service a car with a 20k service interval by 10k at the very very latest it's apparently unsafe.

we've had loads in work.

The usual filled block with oil.
Topped oil up with anti freeze.
Bottle of egg white in radiator to block leak.
copper greased the inside suface of brake pads to stop squeak.

One man removed his brake pads on a mini to stop them squeaking. then wondered why the pistons came out and pissed brake fluid over the road.

Recently a woman superglued her gearknob on because it was loose, drove head on into the garage then couldnt use the lift reverse.
