Good call Colin!!
309 GTi, can't remember the last time I saw one of those!
We had a Renault 25. It was pimp, it was like sitting on the cockpit of an areoplane there were so many lights inside :Q

Most 16v Vauxhalls have been stripped for their engines, into Novas and Corsas
Likewise with Calibra Turbos.

Dont see many clio 16v's either come to mention it. Used to be 4 going about around here, black one down the road an older guy had, grey one my mates bro had, blue one said bro's burd owned & a red (that really nice dark red!!) one a mate from school had.
I used to really want one of them, would have had one but the corsa GSi was miles cheaper to insure!!

This is so true Mister Damian.
I was chatting with a pal, just a few weeks back on this matter after we both observed a clean MK I Fiesta on a driveway near his house with relative surprise and then realised how ridiculous it was that something so common or garden and mundane had become a rarity.
It seems even odder that the same has happened with newer stuff like orions.
The really sad thing is Sierras, Capris, Cortinas and MK I & II Escorts. You just don't see them now.
Btw, I think the Renault you were thinking of was the 19 16v saloon. It might have been called the Chamade.

205s are becoming a rarety also, especially since I smashed mine up.
The last time I saw a Renault 5 Turbo was when one of the fellas next door to where I work was respraying his. Before that, I couldn't tell you.
It's incredible to think that cars that were made by the million and that were everywhere just a few years ago have all but vanished.

Tony, yeah, I really wanted one, I thought they were the nuts (had to be the saloon with the boot though).
I had one and it almost gave me a mental breakdown. The most unreliable, stressfull heap of french shit I've owned. Ended up scrapping it when the engine siezed on me after just doing the head on it and managed 20 miles. This was the first and last french car I've ever owned.

Sierras, but then Fords of that era were horrendous for rot so it's not suprising.
For serious nostalgia check this out and the related videos
Berlinda Carlisle as well
