I find it depends on your mood as well. When I'm pissed off at something I act like a wank when I'm driving - nothing too serious, just find it easier to get annoyed by people driving like twats. When I'm in a good mood I tend to be a lot more laid back and let people off more. And in turn I end up driving slower overall when I'm more chilled out.

Being late for work, plus going faster is more fun.

Drive to the condition, no speeding everywhere. Stupid to do 50mph on ice!

In towns etc where the limit is 30 it should be stuck to. And most speedo's overread so your infact doing 25-28. Even safer if one of those thick offspring jump out in the road without looking!

Has anyone told the gov that road deaths will be reduced if people dont walk in the fucking road!?!

Drive slower at night, due to he number of police on very bloody road!! In the day I just drive until I have to slow down for something, don't go over 50 in a 30, speed limits above that don't usually mean much to me, as it's usually safe to go faster on those roads.

Same, perhaps will less emphasis on the points as I don't really see them as a deterrent. The thought of ruining some lives is a bigger pull.

Depends on my mood. On the way to work in the morning I drive calm and slow.

On the way home I'll overtake anything not doing the speed I want to do

What makes me slow down.

Looking ahead, assessing road conditions, how built up/busy the area is, time of day/night etc.

Also, by looking around, seeing whats coming, before I get there.

following a police car who isn't doing the speed limit when he hasn't got any blues on. . . if they're allowed to do it when not attending an incident, i should be allowed to

edit: just realised i answered Ben G's and not the actual thread topic

I've done that he was doing a 50 in a 30, pulled me over and when I said I was just matching his speed he gave an excuse about being on his way to an accident, I was a bit cheeky and said "you'd better put your blues on then before you cause an accident at those speeds" he simply huffed and got back in his car, think I was quite lucky

Many reasons really.

Car being cold, no points and would like to keep it that way, and conditions.

Not sure if its the same for anyone else but I sometimes think I have a sixth sense for bad things happening, crashing, police etc don't know what it is but just get a dodgey feeling and then I see a police car
