i say go for it.

with the way the world is going nowadays and gay marriage becoming more acceptable (not to me, fucking fags), you could start offering this service and reap the rewards.

money in the bank at the end of the day.

If your policy doesn't cover that Cosmo, send him Doyle's way. Give him some work to do.

Do you ask for pics/vids to prove they are lesbians?

Most of the time one of them is barely passable as a female and the other tends to have a crew cut and be butcher than a male rugby team. Asking for pics would be the last thing on my mind to be honest....

I'd accept the offer, have a pic of him in it for "your records" then have it featured in a bridal catalogue

Cosmo, why make this thread?

We already know you'd replied saying yes and that you'll try dresses on too so it doesn't seem as strange to the other customers

Good PR plan tbh.

I'd say do it, but book him a private 2 hour slot (or however long it takes to choose a dress of dreams).

As others have said, there could be an opening in the market for it.

And who says men can't buy and try on dresses, no laws. But to not damage reputation (until opinions overcome) make it a private viewing.

Yeah take his money but close the shop temporarily whilst he is inside, don't want to scare or run any 'normal' brides days

Thats the main issue, its not too bad as the shop has totally private rooms so other than where the dresses are the brides would never see him.

Make it private and offer it as a new service. Not sure how you'd advertise the fact mind.

Completely private viewings for homosexual couples doesn't really have the right tone.

This guy isnt homo though, he has, or will have, an actual wife!!

TBH shutting up the shop means not taking an appointment in the other 4 fitting rooms, or the bridesmaids suite, so could potentially be a lot of business!

Which is why you could charge a premium. . .and do it hourly.

Obviously don't know the mechanics of your shop but it is an option.

Definitely some PR leverage out of it though.

I'd imagine you know all the magazines, but I have access to a service called BRAD (British Rate and Data) which has full magazine listings and contacts.

TBH, I think it would put more people off coming to the shop than it would bring in from men who want to wear wedding gowns.

Granted, or it could show that you're an 'open door' shop that doesn't have snobbery, and will allow same sex shoppers and what not.

same sex isnt a problem, we actually had an advert in a gay wedding magazine that someone did late last year.

But men trying on wedding dresses that these other women will then try on would have a negative impact imo.

Private viewing, charge him a premium. Only way imho. But if you didn't want to lose trade that the premium wouldn't cover, do it after hours.
