Do have a good spec though

Yeah definetly, can't think of any of the top of my head but you do look at some and think 'What's the point of that?' lol

They're 20k new, this is 6 months old with 3500 miles and £14k, I would call it very cheap personally.

The red one is an 07 with 18k miles and £11350 ono, so so cheap and I think it looks awesome.

Awesome cars make sure you get an aero pack one - better suspension

Yeah out of the pictures I chose the red one has the Aero Pack and looks much better than the white one I think. I like the white ones but they very rarely come up and I've not seen one with the Aero Pack yet.

Big brakes/exhaust/wheels.

Yeah definetly, some beefy wheels and big brake setup would look even better

I do agree completely, it's the only thing that I think is negative about the car, still thinking it's acceptable like the LCR when they don't make a 3 door version it means the 5 door doesn't matter so much.

I love the fact that they dont look anything like an Astra VXbox or Focus ST.

Go for a test drive. You'll love it.

I think I will have too, I didn't expect them to get such a great review on here!

That looks immense! I was told they're not too bad too tune. Remap takes it to over 300bhp which is tbh more than enough lol.

Insurance isn't too different from the VXR either...I still get raped lol

Old shape as in the ones I posted? Without the bonnett scoop? I prefer them over the new ones

mine's been fine thankyou very much. only problems i've had are the sideskirts peeling away from the body (factory fault, fixed under warranty) and an engine malfunction due to me smashing a sensor whilst sorting the suspension out.

the mazda has a very different and very reliable engine and body.

I'd be a bit worried about the rapid depreciation tbh. That 07 plate has halved its value in 2 years!

I'd hate to find I'd paid £11k for a car and selling it two years later would struggle to get £5k for it

I fucking love these. Would definitely be my choice over an Focus or Astra. Something about them just clicks. Would have to be a facelift though.

The brand new models are a bit marmite mind.

Fucks sake i want one now

Graham make sure you take it on a Mway mate! I was chasing a Ninja in 6th gear and we had a right laugh pulls like a fucking train.

Only thing i found was that after an hour behind the wheel i felt a bit worn out a bit like when i drove an EVO FQ with 400 brake.Might have just been me on the day though..

True, but I'm not worrying about that kinda thing lol. I can't see it dropping price that much anyway, although I understand what you're saying.

I don't know if the bloke will let me take it on the motorway, he said about taking me to some quiet roads as he's a Copper so can't do illegal things Can't believe it still pulls like that in 6th though!

I doubt I'll be driving it that long, but how do you mean, because you were driving it hard and concentrating? Because I find that after driving even my Fiesta hard due to concentration especially on track

Its the not the sort of thing you'd worry about now.

It'll be when you come to sell it you might not like the result.

Fuck it, its only money

That's what I meant, I have a kind of 'fuck it, I'm only young' attitude towards things like that, same as fuel economy

Well at the time mate i was a professional driver in a way so drove basically hundreds of cars.

I think the whole engine/transmission noise combined with stiff suspension takes it's tole after a while as i've only ever felt it with the EVO before...hence why i don'y like EVO's

You'll love it mate i rekon as it's like having a nuke under the bonnet and feels like it has sooooooo much torque.Noise is great too

Mate just noticed the Link you put up!

That seems VERY cheap especially for a white one! Too cheap if you ask me as the white ones are pretty rare.

Where can you get one mapped mate???

I thought the MPS ecu was untouchable???

My mates been trying to get his done since he bought his but with no luck.

White ones are very rare and tend to go for a bit more cash. I'd personally go for the Red.

I'd personally concentrate on better brakes/suspension/cosmetics if i got one.

The power is more than enough for UK roads and there's enough torque steer as it is.

I used to sell Mazdas when these came out. Can't beat them bringing the first demo ones in before the launch and taking them for a blast in the Lake District.

Not sure if you know but True Red is a non-metallic colour. When they are brand new the colour is really bright! After a little while it starts to fade a bit, but not go pink like other reds do. I haven't seen true red fade too much so don't worry.

The suspension is pretty sorted as standard imo specially with the aero kit.

Brakes are well upto the job on the standard car so my mate tells me but he very rarely pushes it to the limits lol.

As for the looks i'd personally keep it the way it is. I think it looks great.

I think Cobb in the states are the tuners for these cars.

Didn't mean that it wasn't reliable, just meant its not really jap.

I thought it was the same T5 engine they use in fords and ovlov's?
