I tried explaining to the bloke that yeh the car had been around a track but the car was more looked after than most cars you'll find that are used for pottering around town, but he'd already made his mind up and from an outsiders point of view I can see why but what can ya do. Just annoying cause I just want my new car and it's holding everything up.

Somebody didn't read the thread properly before posting that did they!!
Sorry to hear about that Graham - I can totally see his point at the same time I can yours though. Good luck with the sale though mate, sure it won't be long before somebody else snaps it up
Oh and maybe remove / hide / disable your YouTube vids for the moment too?

Yeah he even mentioned it was the best condition one he'd been to see and still stood by that comment when he rang me back up but he just said he didn't like seeing it in pieces, I explained that garages take cars apart all the time but he had already made his mind up or his girlfriend had made it for him at least, shit happens!
Yeah I can't wait corsa nut Proceedings are on hold, MPS pics and vids coming soon after I've bought it

tbh, that would put a lot of people off who think they're buying a 'normal' car.

I just explained to my old man what happened and he said "does engines good to be thrashed every now and again" even my Mum said she'd rather buy one that's been around a track a couple of times than one used by a granny for pottering to the shops in. People have their own ideas at the end of the day but I think he's mad for letting it put him off

And more importantly know how cars work.
The majority of people think "if it has been ragged, it'll blow up". Myself included. You take a risk with any car you buy, but if you have hard evidence, most wouldn't.

I said exactly that to him, but as you say I think we just have a different mentality to most people, hey ho!

Mods are as listed:
AP Coilovers
Ford Focus RS MK1 Brembos with 324mm discs (Brembos fully rebuilt about 1500 miles ago, new seals etc, discs were skimmed so as new)
Braided Lines
Ferodo DS2500 pads (again, about 1500 miles on them)
6000k HID's
LED Sidelights
LED Rear Number Plate Lights
Chrome side indicator bulbs in front and sidelights to get rid of the 'fried egg' effect
Plain number plates
Facelift colour coded mirrors (these aren't currently wired up due to the plugs being facelift to pre-facelift, but it can be done but means cutting the plug hence I've never done it, I never adjust the mirrors anyway! Also, there are a few stone chips on the covers but won't be hard to get them sprayed)
De-badged on the rear
Colour coded boot lock cover on the tailgate
Rear Strut Brace sprayed in matt black
Front Strut Brace in silver
Facelift Zetec S seats, half leather, very comfy!
Leather gear gaitor
I'd love it with these mod's + the multi-coloured wheels + fog surrounds
Looked absolutely lush in the pics, i preferred the coloured wheels to the Comp's though
How much would you be after for it like that?!
