do you get to keep them all?

i work for voda doing device management and sales, which basically means usually a few months before a handset comes out, i use them and have to put them through various tests, mainly checking call quality and durability etc. i get to keep them, but after dropping them purposely to see how rugged they are, they end up battered.

im currently using an N900-absolute wank btw, 3gs iphone on 3.1.3, which is just improved safari browser, and a mobile me function.

its good, but then i use handsets that just are ridiculously crap. for example sony ericsson xperia x2-what a joke that was, worst adaption of a WM software with SE own UI slapped on top of it.

The update is out, they don't mention any Safari changes, and it's exactly the same as before. Poor show old chap!

poor show? how? apple state its an improvement for safari browser, user may not see any difference but they say its improved?

I thought you were saying yourself that the browser had been improved, not that Apple said it had been.

I remember when I had my first one and you were like 'I'd never have an iphone... I'd much prefer a blackberry'

i'd be lost without my iphone these days, most people only scratch the surface of the capabilities of them... when you start really using it, it's amazing.

I wouldn’t say there are amazing, and I’m still not convinced that I would still get one. Contracts for them are still pricey for a mobile Internet phone.

The iPhone has a great internet browser, but I still think it’s more of a toy, and that’s great if you want to show off your paper tossing skills, but I’m not convinced it could match how reliable a Blackberry is for being particle.

If by this you mean there are more touch screen phones now, then yes. But the iPhone never really had the same capabilities as every other phone.

A lot has changed since the first iPhone. The touch screen is easier to use, and very good at typing. But if I had to choose a touch screen phone it would be the HTC HD2, which has a lot better features than the iPhone.

Are you being serious Paul, the 1st iphone was revolutionary, it was devolved from phones that were out years previous to it.

I wasn't slagging the iPhone, i think they are absolutely brilliant (the UI has to be one of the slickest around, beats anything by Blackberry or even Android - used 'Roid phones a few times, impressive but not as slick) and where pretty damn special when they came out (used to love my 2G).

My point was aimed at the fact the iPhone still have a lot of problems and faults - most people i know have had some sort of 'Coma' issue or the phone not displaying text/calls (pretty common fault, apparently due to phone switching between Edge/3G/GPRS) etc. And therefore i don't believe the iPhone is 'Gods Gift' as most Apple loving fanboys make it out to be (i've yet actually use a phone that i thought this - most of them have problems of some sort).
