Only Messi would fetch that and only Real could afford that. And there's no way thats ever going to happen anytime soon.

Not saying another player will go for £80mill, but prices are certainly inflated. Not many other players can compete with Ronaldo so ofcourse another player won't get that.

Man Utd are scoring just as many as they did last season, and as pointed out, they are getting silly draws here and there, but the more troubling thing is they are conceeding a few more silly goals but last season they would have won the game 3-1 but now these daft goals are costing points.

If United had Ronaldo and to a lesser extent Tevez the league would be over. 'again'

Surely that's our weak defence and not to do with Ronaldo?

Exactly, that's what I'm saying, the defence leaking daft goals is more of a problem than losing Ronaldo.

Was gonna say, not sure how Ronny could have changed that haha. Thing is, even we let in silly goals last year, we had Ronaldo who could turn a game around in minutes, we miss that for sure.

Yeah but look how many games Ferdinand and Vidic have missed this season, a huge amount.

Man Utd fans have used this lame excuse all season, if you claim to be the best football club on the planet, then whoever comes in for Ferdinand and Vidic should be of the same quality IMO.

When you look at things in the larger scale I do think it was 'cheap'.

He is/was the best player in the World, you cannot dispute that. Didn't he get like 31 or 32 goals from about 35 games in the Premier League in his 52 goal season? He is what, 23/24? Bargain in my eyes, compartively speaking as he doesn't seem to spend most of a season out like a lesser player like Torres etc would.

Yet City pay £25m for Adebayor/Tevez etc? Nither of them are the sort that girls will strum their clit over (less income from other revenue streams) and neither are as talented.

I hate Ronaldo, he is a horrid greasy little WOP cunt, he is good though and it was a FAR better deal than £50m for an old Zidane. They will get his best years rather than his last...

Ronaldo is worth £30,000,000 more than Zidane? Even though he was quite a bit older, he was still an utter genius!

Ronaldo deal represents better value than the ZZ deal IMO.

The amount of merchandise sales Ronaldo will bring in makes him worth £80m, before he even steps foot on the pitch.
