The lack of RATATATATAT BOOM AAARRRGHHH compared to the others doesn't make it a bad movie.

maybe it's not a war movie I dunno, more a study of small-town life and the impact war has on it. I found it very moving and De Niro and Walken were superb.

I understand it's supposed to portray the effects on life during and after a war, but good god doesn't it drag on.

Pianist is a good war related film as well, I prefer it to Shindlers List.

Black hawk down without a doubt, followed by hurt locker. If you like guns, shooter is also a safe bet, but not really a war film...

Tropic Thunder is one of the worst films I have ever seen. I think it was meant to be a comedy but it just wasn't.
