The RM have to delivery x amount of othr companies mail anyway (some stupid law passed) and also it depends where you are. Youll find all the old school posties are very nice and you can trust but its the casual workers that fucking steal everything as they dont give a fuck about this country. But then again if your stupid enough to believe to a tv program 100% then so be it but do you think that its possible to cut out all theft/problems from such a massive company? If only you know what it was actually like inside a sorting office then you would have a different view all together union, disputes, pay cuts, pension cuts, hour cuts, excess loads for less money, bigger rounds to be run on the same time scale, junk mail, running 2 hours late on most shifts without a thank you, paid less on over time than standard pay........... blah blah blah

Agree with Gareth and to a certain extent Cavey (only to a certain extent as you are a bit biased due to working there but you do have valid points ).

Its very similar to how my Tesco used to be and still was (the practices they used to 'cut costs')

Tesco isn't run buy an idiotic union which the management have to kiss up to though. The reason you have managers is to manage the company, it's the posties job to go and put letters in a letter box, not make management descisions.

Then further to the argument of who would deliver the mail if Royal Mail were to not exist, we require a postal service. A company/companies would buy up the pieces of Royal Mail and I'd expect them to tell the unions to fuck off.
