There usefull when you have a huge saloon boot sticking out the back. Everyone slating parking sensor's, but in a few years when they become standard, you wont know how you lived without them.
I could really use some on my Vectra...nightmare to park the thing
I have an Omega, and i dont have them either That too is a nightmare to park sometimes.

I wonder if all the people saying they don't need parking sensors have ever tried parking something bigger than a corsa or something with less visibility? Yes parking is a piece of piss and is extremely easy but there are occasions when backing upto things that make them so worthwhile. I ignore mine most of the time as I can use my mirrors but there are times when I need them and £300 or whatever they cost me is cheaper than respraying a bumper!
And yes I do drive something bigger than a corsa, avatar shows an old car

You can get ones now that are just a metal strip that you stick along the inside of the bumper, so nothing shows. I bought a kit for my Dad for Xmas and for £60 it's a decent bit of kit.

My old man has them on his X-Type. And he has to do a funky manouvre to park on our drive. Very useful IMO. Not to mention the amount of time we have to parallel park when we go to Luton.

i have them, didnt specifically look for them, they are colour coded in with the bumper.
they are one of the best things i have ever had on a car. People who say they dont need them clearly say this because they dont have them.

that is clearly the case Joe, appreciate you clearing it up.

everything looks so close when your reversing, you get out and theres a huge gap
Also going from the corsa to the punto does the punto feel really wide?
i would use to tear down the lanes with plenty of space, feel like i have to breathe in when in the punto

If you fancy figuring out which one is buggered its pretty easy...
stick car in reverse to the parking sensors come on, go round the back and listen up close to each sensor.. they should make an audible clicking or ticking noise - if one doesnt - its broken

Parkers also says 1.4 16v gets 47mpg. I wouldn't believe everything you read.
