I went about 3/4 years ago to meet a girl who was at uni there, I just recall waiting for her to finish work and loads of sketchy people coming up to me with sob stories asking for money 
Arena was poor then we went to some place where there was a bar straight ahead on the left as you walked in, then booths on the right that were up some steps (raised), that place wasn't as bad as arena tbf (sorry i'm sure that description won't help )

Few shit clubs in Nottingham, used to have a Works but that got closed down. We have a Oceania only been once & was full of beer boys. Few decent clubs tho like Stealth really underground sort of place & Gatecrasher when there's a decent night on.

We have one club in our town called trinity...The biggest dive ever,so shit that i got banned from there for expressing my opinion.I told them the entrance fee was too much for a rubbish venue,that the dance floor was too slippy as they allow you on with drinks etc etc..
There is a set playlist so after say 3 weekends of going in there you know the order of the tracks playing aswell,It makes me laugh
.There is even a facebook group calling it "the worst club in the uk"

We have something that labels itself as a club but it just isn't. Its god awful.
Hasn't stopped me having some hilarious nights in there though. Its not really where you go but who you go out with.
Although a nice club does help!
