Same as John.

Closest thing I got to this once was I found a phone. I phoned' the "Home" number on it and explained the situation that I found it and would they like to come and pick it up. I got an earful about how I'd stolen it, so I hung up and gave it to Dad. 5 mins later it rings, Dad answered and told the bloke that what he did was well out of order...

Next evening bloke comes round to pick the phone up (it was a fairly good Samsung one at the time, just when colour screens had come out!) and gave me £20 as a thanks/sorry. I felt rich with £20 at 12/13

Mazuma would have been more cost effective.

Why make a thread on a car forum asking people what to do with a set of car keys you found?

Would be worth it to see the look on the persons face whom the keys belong to when they find them.

& not just that, who keeps all their cars keys (if they have more than one car) on one ring, seriously? Some bloke at work does it and the only reason I can think is so he could show me all his different keys

It's bad enough losing one set never mind losing the set thats got ALL of them on it.

maybe it was the same guy? People like that just really piss me off.. don't realise how lucky they are.

I once lost my driving licence and some old chap found it, looked up the address in the BT book and phoned my house to tell me he had it. I didn't even know it had fallen out of my wallet. I bought the guy a bottle of whiskey to say thanks. The way I saw it was, it would have cost me about £20 to get a replacment from the DVLA and he deserved to be rewarded so he might do the same again another day

Personally I think it feels good to acknowledge other people's good will
