Because using a different ID to prevent a Q plate is illegal.

Even on the DVLA points system you could use enough components from the RS2000 to use the ID.

A VIC check should render that car a cube.

obviously a lot of work gone on to get the cossie on the road. Surely if its on the road registered as an rs2000 though at the moment then its illegal? Its not carrying the correct documents as its registered as a car that it clearly isnt. Looks good tho

Not uncommon for escort cosworths to be built up from motorsport shells that were held back thus meaning they are registered on newer plates.

Thing is though, that isn;t a motorsport shell as it has a sunroof,

It's probably a stolen recovered car thats been sold on.

If it was build up using a S/R shell then it should be on a Q plate.. It IS a ringer. That is NOT a RS2000 chassis, the two cars are very different.. It wouldnt even be possible to use enough parts from the RS2000 to use the ID considering the floor pans, drive train, engine, suspension and even the body work are totally different.

Simple VIC check and off the road she goes!
