Should have had the day off today as I felt really tired at work all day

Anyway a few pics from the two days

First proper off road part

16 miles in and sandwich stop time at the top of a climb

bike not so clean anymore

repacking and heading on

Looks like a bit of down hill finally

30 miles in we hit a problem, a very muddy one. Had to walk about a mile as the trail was just one big bog and it clogged the bikes and made them unridable

anyway we climbed altitude again and the trail dried again

Stopped at the top of a natural fort that was used in some war/invasion had a good veiw and a very strong wind

wind was so strong you could lean into it

Then it was straight on to Amberley where we stayed in the sportsman inn. Highly recomended. Ace food, friendly staff and a log fire

Veiw from the bedroom in the morning showed alot of rain had fallen

First thing on day two was a monster of a climb

Second day was a lot faster flowing trail that was alot of fun to ride. Heavy rain ment the camera didnt come out again until we got there. Missed my opertunity of the white chalk man on the cliff

FINSHED

Hotel on eastbourne seatfront had a crazy sloping floor. Must have foundation issues

But a cup on top of the cupboard and it would slide off

Corridors were like a rollercoaster but for £25 a night you cant grumble and I was drunk by the time I went to bed

Would recomend it to people but if I do it again I would do it over 3 days and not 2. Then you could ride the fun bits harder and have a bit more fun. As due to the terrain 56miles a day is hard going.

If it was done over 3 days it would be a nice little holiday with a few mates too. As you could chill on route and hit the fun bits hard. Met up with a few other riders in the b and b etc as well so had a good bit of banter and had a chat with a few more on route too
