Seriously to put it short...
We sold all our gold...
Our currency ie cash etc will cease to be used in the not to distant future...
The government is buying back this gold through these companies....
The government will have loads of gold again and this will be a true measure of 'Wealth'

Not enough of these muppets are selling gold to make that happen though surely? It's not as if people are rushing to sell their gold by the bucket load. It's just a few broke people.

Well the way they are looking at it is a lot of the gold that will be traded in is old gold ie 18+ carrot.
This is all factual from what i have read but as you said mate it dosn't really make sense they still sell gold jewellery etc also

The cash for gold schemes won't be refilling the UK's gold reserves.
Who will the majority of people that use these companies be? The same ones that use cash converters.
There will be very few people with expensive jewellery who don't know exactly what it's worth.
