i think this is reasonable tbh?
also i took my subaru over last week it had been stood for 2 years went through i had to do the work there and then my self ie new tyre and couple bulbs noin bad
but i insured it and booked it in on the way home my uncle said to me did you now if u have no mot or tax but your caris insured and booked in for an mot its perfectly ok to drive from the destination to the mot station and back home with out tax thats the law

itsilegal to drive without mot because that would void ur insurence
anmot means that the car has been checked to the standards of the law aka vosa lol

Im murder with MOTs Im always a month or so late for them, Id just drive it and plead ignorance if its only for a day or 2
my saxo didnt have one for 8 months, I only MOTd it to tax it

I have another question which is going to sound terrible but i have already decided to leave my car at home. Talking with my mate now and we were trying to decide does the polices ANPR camera pick up cars without an MOT?

Thats what i said. I think people get confused yes they have access to all the info but the camera doesnt alert them to no MOT.
Registrations get flagged as well i think for people on bans,wanted etc.

i passed my test in september last year bought a cracking lil arden blue corsa from wrexham..
had a full bodykit loved it to bits..
drove it for 3months with no licence
got a tug init 2 days b4 i passed shit me self haha
it was insured and moted and had tax at the time 
they pulled me as i was pulling up by new new house
came up all liget
tax motd insured the lot
no bloody licence 
he asked when did i pass i said today lol?
he said "well itwont beon the database yet" i was like woooooooooo
lucky bugger beleive me spent £1000 on buying it

You may have bought a policy but you weren't insured. Unless you were supervised and displaying L plates, for the purpose of an insurance policy you don't have a licence.
The fact they didn't get on to it and cancel the policy is your good luck. If you had have crashed, you would have not been covered.
