My 1.4 keeps up with Mopeds...
No seriously, it does
Seriously ditch them gay headlight eyebrows, them what i can only presume are the front indicators from a forklift, and please god please get rid of them tinted rear lights
They make baby Jesus cry

To be honest i think it looks horrible and tacky.
Thats just my opinion though, you may like what youve done.
With that K&N it will easily out do 1.8 golfs so i think you lot should shut up coz you dont evn now what your on about.

i would take your stickers off, put a normal bumper back on it without them orange lights, and fit some nice wheels (Not halfords wheels) and lower it over them and it was looks sweet

Tbf, from what I can see it wouldn't need much changing to get it looking alright. It may be fairly ropey but we've all seen far worse.
And just to put the cat amongst the pigeons. I'm a fellow 1.2 16v driver, mine doesn't have a k&n, it did for a couple of weeks until I realised it was a waste of money cos it made my car slower so it's sat in my garage since. I can't say I've ever raced a 1.6 Astra or 1.8 Golf but I have recently raced a 1.6 MX-5 and after a bit of a battle, won
Difference between my 'race' and Mr Shonk's I suspect is that mine was on a track, not the road and it involved corners rather than traffic lights.
I highly doubt that I'd have a chance against a 1.6 Astra or 1.8 Golf in a straightline tho

You're lucky then. I once drove a Mk2 Golf diesal van which I swear only had about 30bhp.
It made my Corsa 12v feel like a Ferrari I honestly feared for my life driving that piece of crap.
