looking at lenses for the canon, do i go for a sigma 28-84mm or the canon 35-70mm?

Depends if you want more range or not.

Canon's glass quality would be much better though.

thats what i was questioning really alex, they're both old FD lenses, obviously the sigma has the better range but if the canons going to be better quality i'll go for that, the 28mm canon primes are cheap anyway so could always go for that anyway if i wanted something alittle wider :s

Speaking of lenses, I'm going to be renting an 18-200 from lensesforhire.co.uk for PVS Wanted a 70-300 but forgot about it until Sunday night so they had none left

I did try and get it to come up with the thing with your EA guy on the screen last night but the option for presets wasn't there Maybe I didn't try hard enough

yeah, now i've found 2 seperate canon lenses ones f3.5-4.5 and the others f4 but doesn't look as good function over form though i guess

Depends what focal lengths they are and what you're after tbh. Yeah with lenses it can quite often by function over form
