Yeah I'd read about oil consumption but still a bit of a worry.

I had the astra for a year and a few days. I can't keep cars for long

Eh? Didn't you sell black Astra and get an older Coupe a few days later just a couple of months ago?
I remember, as you sold the Astra not long after I sold my Corsa and we talked about it on Facebook.

No I didn't get an astra coupe in the end. That was the sensible option to save money towards the wedding, but I know I'd have got bored very quickly if I'd got one of them. So I bought this instead. I've still saved money from selling the astra but not as much as I was meant to

Torn between getting the 2l with 39 av mpg or the 2.5 with 31 av mpg. 2l is cheaper to run and still has comfort but the 2.5 is more fun. How you finding it so far?

strange, ive never had any issues with oil consumption. The engine is big enough, i think its about 6.5 litres of oil
Looks nice, the 323, 325 and 328 all share similar engines. Also what you hear about e36's, will be the same for the e46 (ignoring the bodywork).

Hmm i'm sure i've read that they use a bit of oil. Mines not smoking and theres no oil on my drive but i've done nearly 2 litres in 2000 miles. Dont know if thats normal or where its going?

Cheers Deano

Gav, I love red leather. I wish mine had leather, but i wanted Imola red so badly that i just snapped this one up.

best colour mate Imola - lovely lovely colour

Sounds on the high side for consumption but they do consume oil
