From reading, its about 700bhp, and might require a few more parts than I first though, but still, its an animal I think.

That Koenigsegg is fucking nice

You almost sound surprised that a car thats been tuned to that level and is probably lighter as well is managing to beat supercars

No, but supposidly Nissan made the software so hard to crack, it was "untunable"

2 years later, we're already seeing 700+bhp.

I'd be less impressed if it had had the whole engine taken apart to ugrade, but its a fairly simple tune up really once the software was cracked.

Think about how much effort it takes to get a Supra to 700+bhp, or a GTR33/34. Its bloody impressive in that sense for the cost of the car.

Thought for 700 on Supra/Skyline, you'd need major work? Cams, pistons, rods etc?

Have to admit im not to up on it these days, you'd know a lot better than me

a standard RB26 is a 2.6, not a 3.6 or 3.8 or whatever the R35 is... big cc difference

600bhp is easy on standard 2JZGTE
500-550 is easy on RB26DETT

Id change rods and pistons for 700bhp though - on rb26dett (of course turbo too)

My mates old white GTR was running 590bhp but he said he would have been cheaper to run an Audi R8 than his GTR.

truely amazing car i am sure but just does not really do it for me!

if you can afford the finance and like the car go for it! i just find it quite an ulgy car! prefer to look out the window at a car costing less money and looking alot prettyer!

not sure i could imagine spending that amount of money on a car, i went to look at a 535hp ultima gtr(bit of a dream car for me) few weeks ago and i could have freed up the money to buy it without finance but was just to scared to spend that amount on a car! so wimped out and left bank accound looking heathy instead, lol!

I'm the same mate, they are stupidly fast cars with massive potential but they just look like bigger versions of the nissan 350z to me.

Yep.

I just don't like them enough to ever consider spending money on one.

Yep, single, no ties apart from my house and my dogs! Work in IT during the week and am a snowboard instructor at weekends.

Hmmmmm, still undecided.

Hold up northen bufty, what happened to the building trade? When did you stick your oar in my patch of work? And more to the fact, WHY? It sucks

seriously though, what you doing in IT?

On topic, I had a dabble with a GTR in the VXR, it was laughable, an absolutle joke So i've tried it with my bike and its much better. Gearchange is insanely fast, and it it just goes.....

As said, big stories about maintenance not being cheap, but realistically, its not going to be any more than the TVR or RS6 are. just don't run into the back of any vans at 5mph...

What bike have you got? As I have seen a mate of mine leave an R1 from a rolling start in a R32 gtr with 450bhp which Im guessing is slower than a new GTR.

You didn't mention that the new RS6 was in contention Go for that instead then

Can fit all your mates and snowboard gear in plus a twin turbo V10 with 572bhp isn't to be sniffed at

The R1 was broken then. It would absolutely destroy a 450bhp Skyline from 0-170mph.

Yeah it would tbh. GTR would have it top end, 196mph vs 180mph, but anything above 0 and below 100mph acceleration wise would not destroy it, but it would pull its pants down.
