they dont work. I had a record amount of wax come out of my ear when i had it syringed and it was no way near the amount ear candles 'draw out'.

WTF are grommets?

The olive oil is used to soften the wax, use it for a couple of days and then i went to the doctors and the nurse blasted it all out with a water thing

Thats what i'd go for, although i dont understand what a grommet is to stop that happening.

Also the water jet they use isn't called syringing anymore, they stopped doing that apparently

Grommets are little tubes then put in your ears to ease fluid build up, can't have stringing if you have it apparently but I've not heard that from the docs just word of mouth


I'm dubious of candles too bit my SOS has had it and she said it worked sell as she too suffers with her ears

i tried otex and whatnot earlier this year, ended up having them syringed. even if the doctor can't syringe them they'll know what to do for the best!
