Another thread full of bullshit where I doubt most have ever even maybe sat in one, never mind driven one.
3.0d Auto are awesome, nuff said. That's after living with one for a while. Electric everything, extremely comfortable, good mpg's and fucking quick for the size of them. It'd smoke 90% of corsas on here.
I'd probs avoid the petrol ones because of mpg's etc. tho personally.
I do think the new shapes looks a million times better than the old boxy one too.

Acceleration means quite a lot on whatever road car I'd choose actually, and I'm sure it does for others, especially on a big car like this that you wouldn't expect to move that well.

I despise them. which is odd because I love BMWs and I'm a big suv fan (unlike the cool to hate them gang I have owned one and practicality/comfort is unmatched in normal cars)
I'd probably rather a Merc Mclass but they are apparently woeful so I say go for it

Oh and it might not be classed as offloading but my town is on a river and a Rangerover was very handy to get in and out of 2ft of waterlogged roads, not worrying about hidden kurbs etc.
Great for the elderly generations like your nana and pops who don't have to bend down getting in and out swallow chests of drawers whole and take two dogs in the boot their beds and your luggage.
They are practical and a great car to own, you don't drive it like a carson it doesn't matter if it won't out handle a 106 on the twists.
Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it's "wrong"
