Hey, don't say that, you'll get accused of not understanding business.

Dear TommyG,

You have received a new private message at Astra Owners Network Forum | MK1 - MK6 | VXR | T8 | T9 | Zafira | Astra Van from Tim@ChrisKnott, entitled "Just thought id introduce myself and Chris Knott Insurance".

To read the original version, respond to, or delete this message, you must log in here:

This is the message that was sent:

Hi there
I hope all is well with you.

As you may know the AON Insurance Scheme is running very well and I thought that, to save time and inconvenience for you at renewal, I would out together a quote 'form' whereby you can complete and email me back your car insurance details regardless of whether you are at renewal or not.

I will then diary them and we will come back to you with a quote about 7-14 days before your renewal date so it saves you the hassle of contacting us at the time. You can apply this to all cars in your family whether Astra's or not.

My email address is tim.slater@chrisknott.co.uk.

from tim @chrisknott
We run a successful insurance scheme for club members - you may have seen us on other forums - so I wondered if you would be interested in us providing this for your users & in return we will give you 20% of our commission on each and every case, and for their subsequent renewals as well! We just send you a list each quarter of who has insured with us so you can cross-reference if you wish.
Last year (2009), we paid our introducers (eg. clubs such as yourselves) £180,389.33 in commission alone, and one of the above-mentioned clubs has earned £27,000 per annum from us for the last 2 years!

By way of comparison, they've cost me some time editing that massive sig.

£27k seems like a unique case.

Would be easier to do that if you were greedy like AON and spammed it everywhere.

Even then, I don't think they're doing that well. If they are, either their demographic is somewhat different, or we're missing out. Hence this thread. Although it would appear that very few people have actually bought anything.

If you go by what you read on here, which on this occasion I would, they won't insure anybody to start with and the people they do have trouble when they actually need the insurance.

I think a lot of people tried, but there only seems to be a small amount of people on here that meet their criteria. We all either live in shit holes, too young or the cars aren't slow enough

You're 28, that's an average quote at best unless you live in Belgrade and have 12 points.
