I've had the change of a twenty from a tenner a couple of times and I always point it out to the cashier and give them it back. Then spend the next couple days thinking should I have done that

someone could've easily taken it from the doorstep...
and besides, the company obviously insured it so they just claim it back through royal mail.
like you've never done anything illegal.
They didn't though. It's theft. Plain and simple.
Other than the odd rape here and there I am as legal as they come, I don't even torrent shit as I won't have non genuine stuff in my collection.
ah well, lock me up and throw away the key, maybe get some soap on a rope for me aswell.

my mum did that once at the post office, she got 100 quid out and the woman counted out ten 20 pound notes by accident, she then told the woman what she had done who then gave her tenners instead

Booked a pro that ended up coming down with flu so they sent me another one that was a hermaphrodite and I had the best of both worlds.

Not the best but quite a nice touch was...
Bought a shirt online in a sale for around £20. Wore it out...
But then decided I didn't really like it. You could tell I worn it so didn't bother sending it back. Was a bit gutted I paid £20 for nothing though. Literally three months later, for absolutely no reason, the company refunded me £20 I thought they might take it back again but it's actually been years now.

You and bazza can be pikeys together then? Since what you did was technically theft.

Is it technically theft? Genuine question. The company in question have sent an extra item out in error without noticing thats all.

Well I'm not a lawyer, neither do I know much about that sort of thing, but I do know that if you take something without paying for it, even if it's a mistake like this you've pretty much stolen it haven't you? Don't get me wrong, I couldn't give a fuck either way but it's just that fact that King Cosmo got that bazza slated by half the forum when he actually had specific permission to take what he did. I don't want to get into the ins and outs of that again but it's interesting that in the same sort of situation where he has the choice to do something morally right or morally wrong he does the same as the guy bazza. He'd never get a part on My name is Earl anyway.

Are we talking about bazza stealing a couple of k off his own family?
That's a bit different.

Morally they are the same thing, but I never had an issue with the morals of it.
Difference is one person is gaining via a store sending out multiple items one of which had been paid for. Where as the other was doing work in a family members house and decided to take items they found (£2k+ cash and a painting IIRC) in the loft. They are two totally different things.
Also, with regards to the law on keeping items sent accidentally. You have no requirement to report the extra items, although would have to return them (not at own cost) should they realise their error.

Fuck off Jamie.
I remember bazza being told he could take anything he wanted as they thought the loft was clear of anything needed or wanted. That just comes down to a case of whether he's a decent guy/ the family aren't wankers. You sat up on your high horse telling him how much of a prick he was for doing it, regardless of whether it was a wind up or not. What you're doing is practically stealing - when you get stuff delivered it's instead of picking it up yourself. If you went down to the place to get your filters and they gave you two in a bag instead of just the one you paid for you're committing more of a crime than the very pikey you were ripping apart.

I had a PSU that blew up on me, so returned it. Ended up with:
Replacement PSU x2
Refund to card
Refund in credit x2
Sold one of the PSU's, and used all the refunds to buy my original xbox 360 when they were first out (£320odd)
